Manuscript Preparation

Before You Submit

Follow these preparation steps carefully. Papers that do not meet our standards are returned without review, which delays your publication timeline.

1
Use the Official IEEESEM Template
Download and write your manuscript using the IEEESEM paper template only. Papers submitted in other formats or templates will be returned. The template is available in MS Word (.doc/.docx).
Download the template below
2
Check Plagiarism & Similarity
Run your manuscript through a plagiarism checker before submission. IEEESEM enforces a strict zero-plagiarism policy. The similarity index must not exceed 10%, excluding reference sections and standard phrases.
Similarity must be below 10%
3
Structure Your Paper Correctly
Your manuscript must include: Title, Author Details & Affiliations, Abstract (150–250 words), Keywords (5–8 terms), Introduction, Methodology, Results & Discussion, Conclusion, and References in IEEE format.

Rights & Licensing

Author Rights & Publishing Policy

IEEESEM is built on a foundation of author-first publishing. You retain full intellectual rights to your research — we only ask for publishing rights to disseminate your work globally.

🔒
Full Author Rights Retained
Authors retain all intellectual property rights to their published research and inventions. IEEESEM holds only the right to publish and index the work for global academic visibility. You are free to reuse your paper in teaching, presentations, or future publications.
💰
Full Monetary Benefit to Authors
All financial benefits — grants, funds, commercialisation proceeds, and monetisation rights — from published research or patented inventions flow directly to the author(s) and co-author(s). IEEESEM makes no claim on research funding or commercial outcomes.
"Full monetary benefit for research work or invention will be given to author/co-authors of published/patented research."
🔁
Reprint & Reuse Requests
All requests to reprint, purchase, or further use published research are forwarded directly to the corresponding author. IEEESEM acts as a facilitator, but the author holds the final decision-making authority on how their work is used or licensed by third parties.
🌍
Open Access Publication
All IEEESEM papers are published under an open-access model, freely available worldwide with no subscription barriers. This maximises the reach, discoverability, and citation potential of your research across all academic platforms and indexing databases.
©️
Copyright Transfer
Upon acceptance, authors complete the IEEESEM Copyright Transfer Form, granting publishing rights to the journal. This is standard academic practice and does not diminish your authorship rights, academic credit, or the right to cite and build upon your own work.
⚖️
Ethical Publishing Standards
IEEESEM adheres to strict ethical standards. Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under concurrent review. Fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, and undisclosed conflicts of interest are grounds for immediate rejection or retraction.

FAQs for Authors

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions from authors at every stage of the publication process.

Registration is required as part of the acceptance process, not before initial submission. You may submit your manuscript directly via the online portal. Upon acceptance, you will be asked to register and pay the nominal publication fee before the camera-ready version is processed.
Yes. IEEESEM welcomes single-authored and multi-authored papers. All contributing authors must be listed with their full names, designations, institutional affiliations, and official email addresses. One author must be designated as the corresponding author who will receive all editorial communications.
If reviewers request minor or major revisions, you will receive a detailed decision letter with specific reviewer comments. You are expected to address each comment point-by-point and resubmit within the stipulated revision window. A response letter explaining your revisions is strongly recommended.
An Evidence of Indexing (EOI) certificate is automatically issued to all authors within 24 hours of your paper going live in the published edition. Certificates are sent to the email addresses provided during submission. If you do not receive your EOI within 48 hours of publication, contact the editorial office.
Withdrawal requests before the review stage are generally accepted. Withdrawals after acceptance may incur an administrative fee. Papers that have been published cannot be withdrawn but may be formally corrected or retracted under specific circumstances following an editorial review of the request.
Yes. IEEESEM operates on a full open-access model. All published papers are freely accessible online to any reader worldwide at no charge. There are no subscription fees or pay-walls. This maximises your paper's discoverability and citation potential across all platforms where IEEESEM is indexed.
